Grilling Recipes, Faster than Smoking

Grilling recipes are used by most americans that cook outdoors. Most folks don't have several hours to slow smoke a meal. Grilling is usually quick (remember all those hamburgers and hotdogs?).

BBQ, what it is

Editor's Qs

How can I keep sauce fresh longer in the refrigerator?

How long can you actually keep a barbecue sauce in the refrigerator before it spoils? Great question. Sauces are usually good for around 18 months on the shelf, unopened. But really... how long can they keep when opened?

Usually, a good sauce made out of quality ingredients can keep in a cool dry place with a 40 degree temperature for anywhere from 1 to 5 months after opening.

A really easy, but little known way to get an additional 3 months of life out of that sauce is to simply seal the lid snugly, then turn the jar upside down in the fridge.

What this does by turning it upside down is to cause the natural weight of the contents to force downward on the lid. It seals and creates a barrier that blocks air from getting into the container. No air, no spoilage.

In fact, try this with other containers of things like sour cream. Turn it upside down and see just how much longer it will keep.

The Challenge Continues.

I don't want to give you the idea that I can't be stumped, but... let's see what happens.
